Software Developer / Game Programmer
Motus Games programmers are responsible for the code that pulls everything together into a highly polished and ultimately compelling motion gaming experience.

What you will do:
  • Work on our APIs across multiple platforms (Windows, XBOX360, PS3, OSX. iPhone, Windows Mobile)
  • Design and implement modifications, reorganizations, and extensions to existing code base
  • Analyze, organize, and optimize code
  • Flesh out, expand, and implement motion-based game integration designs
  • Interface with game developers and publishers
  • Provide input on design and code architecture decisions
  • Continuously improve the user experience and performance of our API.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

What you will need:
Interpersonal Skills

  • Attention to detail, creativity, technical zeal, great communication skills and a willingness to learn from and teach others
  • Good people skills and collaborative attitude
  • Good instincts for software design and fun
  • An ability to stay positive and productive under pressure

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluency in C++.
  • Adaptive coding style
  • Dedication towards individual and team growth

Other Valuable Skills:

  • Having worked on a project from beginning to end
  • Working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing
  • 2 – 5 years of solid programming experience
  • Avid gamer
  • Console programming experience, especially on the PS3
  • Understanding of procedural and object oriented programming paradigms
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
  • Interest in sports and video games

Artificial Intelligence Programmer
Motus Games AI programmers are responsible for the coding wizardry that will fuel the next-generation of motion-based games.

What you will do:

  • Working on improving our artificial intelligence APIs
  • Analyzing, organizing, and optimizing code
  • Providing input on design and code architecture decisions
  • Working with the AI team to continuously improve the user experience and performance of the AI components of our API
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

What you will need:
Interpersonal Skills

  • Good people skills and collaborative attitude
  • Good instincts for software design and fun

Technical Skills

  • Strong Math, Physics, Statistics and Artificial Intelligence Skills

Hardware Engineer
Motus Games Hardware Engineers are responsible for making the next-generation of Motus hardware technology that our software developers just can’t wait to get their hands on.

What you will do:

  • Develop innovations for current Motus technology from the design stage to the final production stage
  • Optimize systems for size, power, durability and cost to meet product specifications
  • Design at a circuit level embedded systems, containing wireless elements and sensor technology elements using microprocessor/microcontroller technology
  • Program embedded systems using C or Assembly
  • Program application software in C++
  • Program drivers using C and/or C++
  • Design, build, test and debug circuits, firmware and software applications
  • Research and evaluate components, materials, and suppliers
  • Evaluate internal software, hardware and designs prototypes
  • Interface with other Motus engineers as well as contract manufactures

What you will need:
Interpersonal Skills

  • Attention to detail, creativity, technical zeal, great communication skills and a willingness to learn from and teach others
  • Good people skills and collaborative attitude
  • Good instincts for software design and fun
  • An ability to stay positive and productive under pressure

Technical Skills

  • Degree(s) in electrical engineering preferred
  • Sound hardware engineering fundamentals
  • Ability to write and follow design specifications
  • Use and design of integrated sensor systems including:
    • Firmware design for microcontrollers/microprocessors in C or Assembly
    • Component and firmware design of Bluetooth, Zigbee, and/or other standard wireless protocols
    • Component and firmware design of HID compliant systems
    • Design of analog and/or digital filters for sensor outputs
    • Application design for PC in C++
    • Mobile application design

Other Valuable Skills

  • Working knowledge of C# and VB6
  • Interest in sports and video games
